Peter took up this post in 2003. He was a cathedral chorister at Chester & Manchester and Organ Scholar of St John's College, Durham. A BA in Music and PGCE from Durham were followed by an MPhil from Keele, ARCO, FRSA, FCIEA, Medaille d’honneur de la Confédération Musicale de France and an honorary fellowship at Wolverhampton University.

He conducts Wolverhampton Symphony Orchestra, gives recitals as Borough Organist at Walsall Town Hall, is chair of Wolverhampton City Music Hub and Chief Examiner for A-level General Studies.

 

Callum Alger was a chorister at St Matthew’s Church, Northampton. In 2011 was appointed as the Organ Scholar.

In 2014, he became Organ Scholar at Portsmouth Cathedral and worked in both the Cathedral and the Grammar School. He has ARCO and ATCL Diplomas and was a finalist in the Northern Ireland International Organ Competition. From 2015, he was Director of Music at St Thomas's Church, Stourbridge.

Callum is currently an undergraduate student at Birmingham Conservatoire, studying organ with Henry Fairs and David Saint.

 

Toby plays for the Wednesday Choral Evensongs.

He studied music at Cardiff University and has an MA (with Distinction) in Organ Performance from Birmingham Conservatoire.

He is Conductor of Walsall Choral Society and Associate Principal at St Peter's Collegiate School.

Anthony Pinel was born in Sutton Coldfield and graduated from Huddersfield. After a year as Organ Scholar of Birmingham Cathedral he was appointed Assistant Organist of Bristol Cathedral.
Further appointments included St. Mary, Redcliffe, Churches in the USA and then back to the UK to Grimsby Minster. He is currently director of music at St. Chad's, Shrewsbury

 

David was Assistant Director of Music from 1967 to 2010 and is still very active in the music department. He held the music together for 42 years, through 4 Rectors and 7 Directors of Music. Countless former choristers and organ pupils have very good reason to thank him!
David helps on Monday and Friday evenings with chorister training and runs the choristers' handbells group.
