PETER MORRIS will be retiring from the post of Director of Music at Easter, though he will be seeing through the organ rebuild to its conclusion.

The work of restoring the 1860 Willis Nave Organ, to an exciting new scheme, is now in progress. The work is being undertaken by Michael Farley's firm, from Sidmouth. The consultant is Paul Hale.

The choir tours in summer 2018: The boys will be singing in Chester Cathedral for their week and the girls will be at York Minster for their week-long session. both choirs will be deputising for the Cathedral Choir. The girls and men are also singing at Westminster Abbey again early in 2019.

Along with 2 German choirs, 1 French and 7 English choirs, The Girls Choir will be singing Faure Requiem and Beethoven's 9th Symphony in Walsall Town Hall on November 11th, the centenary of the 1918 Armistice. Wolverhampton Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Peter Morris.
